The exceptional riverfront setting of the lodges provides ideal game viewing and bird watching opportunities. The area teems with big game and guests can expect to see a variety of animals, including the Big Five, that come to the river to feed, drink and hunt. Of course with game one can never be certain of sightings but in the riverine environment the opportunity for seeing wildlife is as good as it gets anywhere.

At Ngwenya River Lodges the river serves as your personal "game viewing waterhole" and there is no real need to spend hours on end driving around looking for game. However should the urge for a game drive or walking safari arise the facilities are within a few minutes drive from the lodge.
