Welcome to Mjejane River Lodges, a collection of exclusive privately owned self-catering game lodges perched on the banks of the Crocodile River in Mjejane Game Reserve.
Mjejane Game Reserve is a 4000ha private game reserve that shares an astonishing 10 km of magnificent unfenced Crocodile River frontage with the Kruger National Park. Herds of buffalo and elephant as well as other wildlife species such as rhino, lion, leopard, cheetah, wild dog, hyena and a variety of antelope move freely between the Kruger National Park and Mjejane Game Reserve. Mjejane is in fact a seamless ecological extension of the Kruger.
The Crocodile River is the most outstanding feature of Mjejane Game Reserve. It is one of six major rivers that flow across the Kruger National Park and represents an essential lifeline through the wilderness of the Mjejane - Biyamiti eco-zone.
This riverine eco-zone is renowned for its high density of game which in turn provides excellent wildlife viewing and photographic opportunities. On occasions all of the Big 5 have be seen from the lodges during the course of a single a day.
Each lodge commands a spectacular view over the river and of the world's most famous wildlife sanctuary, the Kruger National Park. You can put your feet up, relax completely and let the Kruger's Big 5 come to you. If the desire to go out and look for game becomes overwhelming each the lodge has its own FGASA accredited game ranger and game viewing vehicle to ensure a highly satisfying safari experience.
