Development

Leopard Rock Lodge is an exclusive private lodge development set amongst rocky kopies overlooking Tshukudu dam in the very heart of Madikwe Game Reserve. The lodge which was completed in December 2002 has the capacity to accommodate ten guests in five luxury bedroom suites.

The development has been designed to provide guests with a high level of privacy. Expansive decks offer views over the surrounding bush and a nearby waterhole. An electrified perimeter fence surrounds Leopard Rock Lodge so that guests can experience the magnificent setting without having to be accompanied by an armed ranger.

After dark guests can marvel at the clear starlit southern skies using the Lodge’s state-of-the-art computerized Meade Telescope. A jacuzzi set amongst the rocks near the main complex offers both privacy and a view over the surrounding game reserve.

Leopard Rock Lodge is fully serviced on a daily basis. Guests have the option of self-catering or making use of a catering service available at the Lodge. Staff assistance is on hand to prepare food and clean up after meals for guests who prefer to self-cater

IThe spacious central thatched complex incorporates a lounge, dining room, pub, kitchen (with walk-in storeroom and cold room) and games/conference room.

A cleverly designed swimming pool with exquisite cascading rock waterfall leads off from lounge/bar area of the lodge.

Terraces and viewing decks surround the central facility with walkways linking it to each of the five bedroom suites.

Leopard Rock Lodge has five luxurious and spacious bedroom suites. Each bedroom suite is a free-standing entity that has been carefully designed to offer maximum privacy, comfort and views over the surrounding bush.

Bedroom suites comprise a bedroom with an en suite bathroom and a private lounge which opens onto a wooden deck overlooking the surrounding reserve. All bedroom suites have under floor heating.

In addition to the baths, outdoor showers have been set amongst the rocks of the Koppies to enhance the bush experience.
